Truly Unsurpassed

In western dressage, classical techniques meet western horsemanship to form a new discipline that introduces the world of dressage to new audiences! Stock horse breeds are most commonly seen competing, but the Western Dressage Association of America (WDAA) allows all breeds. While you won’t see high-level moves like the piaffe and passage, the elements of lightness, balance, and athleticism remain the same – only they’re performed under western tack.

Nancy Conley and her mare Truly Unsurpassed, a 2007 Paint Horse, have been making history in western dressage. Truly Unsurpassed became the first horse to earn Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medal Awards from the WDAA. She won several World Championship titles at the WDAA World Show in 2016 and 2017, and was named the 2017 USEF WDAA Horse of the Year for Level 2!

Now competing at Level 3 and 4, this duo is working towards Truly Unsurpassed becoming the WDAA’s first Supreme Champion!
